About Us

We would like to take this opportunity for you to get to know a little about us. We feel that it is important for you to understand how we feel about our dogs. We would also like to invite and encourage you to call and come by to see our kennel.

We have run our own business for many years as a telephone contract as well as farming and raising cattle.  A couple of years ago we decided that it was time to retire from the contracting business. Last year we decided to sell our cattle and simplify our life.

We both have a very strong love of dogs and decided to raise a few.  We wanted something that we could really love and enjoy doing together.  We found it.  Larry still farms and I get to play with puppies all day.  It is great.

We have been asked if we are a puppy mill. We are not. We are a breeder.  There is a difference.  We are building new kennels for the dogs.  They will have large outdoor areas to run any play as well as an indoor area.  The indoor area will be climate controlled for their comfort. We are licensed to operate as a breeder. This means that we are inspected by the state as well as our veterinarian.  We work very closely with our veterinarian to provide all the medical attention that the dogs may require.

Most anyone can give a dog a place to eat and sleep. The o­ne most important thing that we make sure of is that each animal receives love and affection.  With love everything else will fall into place.  If you truly love your pet you will make sure that it has everything that it needs.

We like to think that dogs are people, too.  They are members of our family.  When we sell a puppy we want to feel comfortable in knowing that they are going to a good home where they will receive all the love and attention that they deserve.  There is nothing like the feeling we get when we introduce a puppy to their new family. We love to receive updates o­n how the puppies are doing in their new homes. People have sent us pictures as the puppy grows which we keep in a scrapbook.

When puppies are due, the mother is moved into our home. We have set up a special area for the “nursery”.  We even sit beside the mothers during labor comforting them.  It is just like holding their hand.  When the puppies are born they are watched, cared for and loved in our nursery until they are ready for their new families.  All of our puppies receive socialization, love and attention until they are ready to go to their new homes.

It has been said that you should love what you do. Today we can truly say that we are doing exactly that. There is nothing like the love, companionship and loyalty that you can receive from a dog. We are lucky enough to be surrounded by it every day.
